13 Best Lenses for Sony a6400

To help you in your search, we’ve compiled a list of the Best Lenses for Sony a6400, combined with features and price.

The new Sony A6400 is the fourth product in Sony’s series of mirrorless APS-C sensor cameras, joining the lineup of the A6000, A6300 and A6500.

In addition to the new BIONZ X image processor, it uses the same 24.2-megapixel sensor as the A6300 and A6500 cameras, which now allows the Alpha A6400 to record at ISO 102400. The A6400 will capture 3840×2160 4 K HDR (HLG) video at 30fps, along with 1080p Full HD content at 120fps, all without any recording length restrictions.

With the A6400 featuring 425 phase-detection and 425 contrast-detection AF points that occupy 84 percent of the entire camera frame, Autofocus efficiency has been further improved. This helps ensure precise subject tracking and gives the A6400 a claimed focusing speed of just 0.02 seconds, more than twice as fast as the A6500, with the assistance of Sony’s powerful Bionz X image processor.

In addition, the Sony Alpha A6400 provides real-time Eye AF and real-time AF monitoring with subject detection based on AI, which is activated by half-pressing the shutter button instead of using a custom button as on previous versions, and the AF now operates down to -2EV in low light. Sony says that both of these enhancements make the A6400 the best camera in terms of AF performance in both its APS-C and full-frame ranges.

A 180-degree tilting display with touchscreen operation, enhanced menu interface, built-in timelapse mode, 11fps continuous shooting with mechanical shutter continuous AF/AE monitoring and 8fps with the silent electronic shutter, Bluetooth communication, 1:1 aspect ratio for JPEGs, and improved peak function are other main new features.
