Canon Rumors has provided unconfirmed data indicating that the Canon EOS R7 will sport a 32-megapixel APS-C BSI image sensor and a DIGIC X engine.
Other details include a dual card slot that accepts both CFExpress and SD cards, 4K video at 60fps, 1080p video at 240fps, the newest hot shoe, C-Log 3, and a blend of ergonomics from the Canon EOS R6 and Canon EOS R5.
While these parameters are speculated and unverified, they look to be rather plausible. There’s no news on pricing just yet, but based on the build quality of an R5 combined with a BSI sensor if the specs are correct, we’d be lucky to see it on pre-order for less than $3,000. As more facts and opinions become available, we will update this post.
