The new Insta360 One RS was released recently, and I’ve been using it for a few weeks now. The modular camera is unusual in that the lenses, or “mods,” can be swapped out to flip between a conventional camera and a 360-degree camera. There are three lenses in total, and you may select which one you want when you buy it.
Overall, the camera is a jack of all trades with some fantastic features. With some limitations on frame rate and resolution, it is one of the best action cameras of the year, even though it has some limitations.
How much is it?
It’s actually a little harder than normal to quote you a price since, because of the modular structure, you may buy more than one configuration. There are probably three or four options that I’ll go over now, but you may add extras to these after the checkout process if you like.
Configurations
Twin Edition
The Twin edition of the One RS is the most popular model. You will receive the following items as part of this pack:

- 1x 360 Lens
- 1x ONE RS Core
- 1x ONE RS Battery Base
- 1x Lens Cap for 360 Lens
- 1x ONE RS Mounting Bracket.
With this edition, you’ll be able to record both high-quality regular video and 360-degree video.
4K Edition
This variant only comes with the 4K Boost lens, which takes typical action camera footage, similar to that of a GoPro. It has a 1/2-inch sensor, which is bigger and of greater quality than those found in most other action cameras. This edition includes the following:
- 1x 4K Boost Lens
- 1x ONE RS Core
- 1x ONE RS Battery Base
- 1x ONE RS Mounting Bracket.
If you don’t want to capture 360-degree video, this is the edition to acquire.
One Inch Edition
The Leica 1 Inch Edition comes with the most powerful lens available for this camera, the Leica 1 Inch Lens. Because of the significantly bigger sensor, it is able to record ultra-high definition video, which is normally only feasible on larger cameras. This edition includes the following:
- 1x 1-Inch Wide Angle Lens
- 1x ONE RS Core
- 1x ONE RS Battery Base
- 1x ONE RS Mounting Bracket.
If you want to make your action footage look more theatrical, this is one of the best solutions.
The Trio Edition
The ultimate edition comes with all three lenses mentioned above, as well as a memory card. If you already have a memory card, you may remove it to save money, but be sure it’s fast enough to function with this powerful camera.
